Course Facilitator

Sarah Squire is an identity and access management expert and experienced training facilitator. She has worked with multiple standards organizations including NIST, IETF, OpenID Foundation, and FIDO. She is a co-author on NIST SP 800-63-3 Digital Identity Guidelines published June 2017.
Identity bootcamp is the first and only comprehensive one-day training in identity and access management basics. Students will come away with:
  • OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML basics including proper implementation and common mistakes
  • An overview of cloud security best practices and common IAM and federated identity misconfigurations
  • The pros and cons of different multi-factor authentication protocols including OATH and FIDO
  • Knowledge of the latest emerging standards including NIST 800-63 Digital Identity Guidelines, IETF Vectors of Trust, and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

All students will receive:

  • Full-day in-person training
  • End-of-day Q&A session with facilitator
  • Cheat sheet on identity basics
  • Printed book of materials covered in class
  • Thumb drive of materials covered in class
  • Individual membership to IDPro – the professional organization for identity practitioners
  • Catered lunch
